Disneyland! Travel Day

Well, a couple of weeks ago, we noticed that the kids and I have the same Spring Break. We thought we should take advantage of it, and take a trip! Disneyland seemed like an excellent destination, but it turned out that Nick had to work, so we invited our other favorite traveling companion, my mom, AKA Grandma in California. She loves parades and county fairs, so she was totally game. The plans all shaped up, and we head to the airport on Sunday morning.

(all photos are from Miles, notice what a great photographer he is)

Miles took some photos while we were waiting, check out the airplane out the window, he said he didn't even know it was flying by!

With all the stress of getting our passports last summer, we are using the heck out of them. We board the plane...

Review the safety guidelines...
Observe the airport...
Take off!!!
We passed the time, watching a movie, reading, doing a crossword...
looking out the window....
Anaheim!! We find Grandma waiting right away,

We get a sweet car...Chevy Impala...
With Nevada plates!!
Get to the hotel...

Check in...
oooo, a pool, so nice. Room is great, not a lot of room to walk around, but we don't plan on spending a whole lot of time there, so no biggie.

OK, we are going....

We have decided that it is possible, and we are going to Paris France, this summer, in August, 2007. This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I still pinch myself every time I say, "I am going to Paris this summer!". Well I will be 40 in June, so it is really high time I skedaddled off to Europe, and how delighted am I to get to go with my family? Very. I cannot wait to eat croissants de chocolat with Caroline, observe sculpture around every corner through Miles's eyes, and toast with Nick at a streetside cafe with cafe au lait, or French Wine, depending on the time of day...oh, and I do plan to eat cheese every day. Every. Day. This week we are on Mission: Passports. We are trying to decide if we need to expedite the process or risk the 10 weeks. Much cheaper, but we leave in 12 weeks...hmmmm.

We have already gone to the library for French Tapes, French books, maps and guide books. Caroline helped me pick them out, and we even got Tin Tin's illustrated guide to French. Excellent.

Well, hopefully we will be able to post our photos and adventures on this blog, and maybe the children will guest write for me sometimes.

So excited.
